You may or may not be in a Ministry leadership capacity, but this book and principles, is applicable to your daily life regardless of where God has placed you.
Joshua did not just stumble upon leadership but took over Moses leadership with the 40 year preparation. One writer indicates that if we are to engage acceptably in service for God we must learn to be subject to others with cooperation characterizing us. It is then that others in time will be more apt toward our leadership. Joshua's preparation included the impression upon him for communion with God and hearing His voice. The reader will be exhorted to dig deeper into the Scriptures so that the unbelieving world will be drawn to Christ as God's presence and power are with His people.
