Not what I expected!

I was disappointed with the results after the first recipe I tried! The cake turned out a lot more dense than I expected. I may be doing something wrong since I have a friend who swore by this book but I am now doubtful! Also the process was a lot longer then expected so make sure you have time. I think it would have been more helpful to include images of the process too.
